I have been seeing quite a bit of African Turquoise on the market lately and I have also been getting just as much conflicting information about this particular variety. Some say it is considered real turquoise and others insist that it is just a cheap imitation. Is the "African" variety actually Egyptian Turquoise, since Egypt is in Africa? I have never seen any labeled as Egyptian and the dealers have limited info/knowledge regarding the specific locality of origin. Any info and/or speculations would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.
