Ametrine is a mixing of citrine and amethyst. It occurs in both crystalline and
massive form. In addition to the properties listed in the AMETHYST and CITRINE
sections of this book, the following properties relate to the combined force of these
two powerful crystalline structures.
It is a stone to enhance universal equilibrium and provides a clear connection between
the physical form and the ultimate state of perfection. It provides for balancing of

I just wanted to share something about ametrine that makes it a very special crystal to work with. Ametrine is excellent at linking the solar plexus (mind) and third eye (intuition/psychic) centres and allowing an easy flow of communication to occur between them. It is an excellent crystal to work with in treating ADD, ADHD and bipolar disorders. It assists in balancing aspects of the individual that have become disconnected and separated, gently aligning the flow of mental and emotional activity and linking up parts of the mind that are no longer working together. You can see how this would be of benefit to those with the conditions mentioned. It can be used to make an elixir and will be effective if worn. I have found in treatment that it works very well if placed underneath the base of the skull in the region of the occipital lobe. For children it is especially effective and can bring quick results. For children with ADHD/ADD it is also a good idea to give them both an amethyst and a citrine and allow them to choose on a daily basis which one they prefer to interact with. They seem to know instinctively which energy is needed on a given day to bring them back into balance. Children enjoy wearing crystals or carrying them in a pouch bag so this is an easy way to bring the crystal energy in. It is also a great way to empower them.
