Hi all - I really like to make jewelry specifically for the chakra, and when I do like to know who it is being made for. Sometimes it is really important to consider the recipient of the piece so I like to design items for specific individuals rather than take a lot of pre-made items to a craft sale, though some things are pretty universal in usage.
For instance, I will usually use unakite for the heart chakra placement because it has both the green and that salmon color to it so it encompasses both the colors most often associated with the heart chakra (green and pink). The photo (if it works) has a bracelet with the chakra pattern and unakite in the green placement. The other stones I used in this one are red jasper, carnelian, yellow aragonite, the unakite, sodalite, amethyst and then crystal quartz, with magnetic hematite.
I find that unakite is a calm and peaceful stone which I find a good quality for a heart chakra stone, and also it is a stone that helps to forge a link between our masculine and feminine sides so it is an apt piece for that reason as well.
Plus the added benefit that it is not a pricey stone!
If we want to go the more pricey stones, ruby in zoisite or ruby in fuchsite also combine the colors but tend to lend a different feel to the pieces. More vibrancy and also more intensity come through with these pieces. And I have used bloodstone when I can find the right size beads with both the red and green showing in them.
Also I find that when someone really needs to connect with the kundalindi energies and ancestral strengths of physical self, serpentine is a great choice; but if the focus is on creating family bonds, rose quartz or rhodonite are better. I especially will use rose quartz when making something for a child or for a young mother and rhodonite for couples that are looking to renew thier bonds. Hope that all makes sense.
