A House Altar is the area where you arrange some sacred utencils an images to honor the Almighty, give grace, pray, celebrate the Goddess, or meditate.
Altars have many sizes according to your taste and space. A altar can be arrange fron a little book shellf on the wall to as big as the dinning table and it can be put in any area of the house including your garden.
To me my entire house is an altar. I have an altar of different sizes in every room of the house including the bath-room. :D In the bath-room wall, I use a pic of the Goddess Yemalla which is the image of a mermaid, sea shells and needles to say that I have bears, wolves, horses all over the house. :D Anything that I love, I use in my altars because everything I love is sacred to me. The imagination is endless so, use yours & it will never fail you.
In front of my main altar area, I arrange a small altar for special occations. { Ex.. Esbats, Sabbats and The Latin's Twenty One Divition/Santeria, Saint's Day, etc..}
When I stand in front of this altar, I'm facing North but my main altar covers North & East.
When I face my main altar, I face North and for the rest of the altar I face East.
