...my nephew who has been in Iraq came to see me. :D He spoke of many things he had seen there both good and bad but wanted us to know that our prayers were definatly felt. When he first arrived back on US soil it was many states away from family members. During the wait to see us all this past weekend he put together a video of himself and those he met while stationed at Camp Bucca, Iraq. He made many friends, including with Iraqi's although neither party could speak the others language. Here is the video for you to experience from a peacemaker in Iraq's point of view.
Today I am keeping my 2 week old grandson while Momma and 7 almost 8 year old Bri go to the doctor. She is having to miss her field trip to the zoo today due to a prolonged fever. I'm thinking west nile virus, but it's early in the season. Many people catch that and don't even know it now. It's been so hyped up with the media that it's out of purportion to reality.
Like any flu, it isn't bad until someone dies from the complications and the diagnosis changes to influenza or another dreaded strain. Considering how ticked off the child is I am guessing she will be just fine. That never dismisses prayers. ;)
I also was able to visit with my pregnant niece and her hubby along with my brother and sis-in-law. I had to spend most of my time in my bedroom, but listened to them chatting in the living room. I had fixed a monster gourmet salad with all the trimmings to accompany the usual Easter meal fan-fare. Everyone had a wonderful time and good-byes were not quite as difficult for myself this time. In their faces though it is easy to read that they treat each time like the last one. They fear for my health and for my aging parents, wanting to see us again and again. That is a comfort, but I wish it didn't have to be that way. I am so use to jumping in my car and just going where-ever I want however far away. Good memories, eh?
It is my turn to have people come to me. I guess I am aging more gracefully than the mirror tells me. God is good*
Several possibilities looks a bit more like a dark moss agate than Aventurine, Cobra Stone or Green Jasper. I have some rough jade and some rough emeralds that look a lot like the stones in the photo.
tricky tricky after going into my collection and looking at the green stones I have I found some mysterious Jade hanging loose that looks incredibly like the ones in the larger pic. The small pic is so small it makes it hard to try and identify.
