A POLITICAL CRYSTAL

One song from the Seventies opens with the line: "Where do I beginnnnnn, to tell the story ...."

Ok. I was going to open with something light. I even thought of adding a joke or two. (A friend sent me the most hilarious things some school children said when questioned about the ocean... but no -- maybe later)

This room is for Crystals, and it's safe and warm, friendly and spiritually nourishing in here... but there is an 800 lb. gorilla out there 'in the world'... There's no way to ignore what is going on OUTSIDE this room.

Right now, from another room, somewhere in the house I can hear my husband listening to Wolf Blitzer winding up for the 2nd Presidential Candidate Debate. Heavy stuff. Because of what is going on in our economy, the rest of the world, and a quickly approaching election, I have a long list of things to ask my crystal collection to help me with.

That's what we do isn't it? We enlist the help of our crystals as we go through our lives; we ask them to help us conduct our affairs (those crystals that have chosen us -- and believe me, THEY do the choosing). A fair amount of us here at Crystal Healing Network put healing high on our list of affairs.

Well, guess what needs healing NOW?!! Just about the whole American way of life is 'listing and beginning to lay on its side.' What we are all trying to decide in a few weeks is "which captain can get the ship back in the water and moving toward an island in the sun?!"

I see my TV screen almost completely taken over by information about whom we should choose. Each side has its own unique way of conveying what they think we need to hear to see things their way. I have friends on both sides. No matter what I think, we share whatever tidbits of information we ferret out from the snowstorm of campaign rhetoric around us and we talk, talk, argue, laugh, scratch our heads, and hug each other when it gets to be too much. That is what friends are for. We differ, and we embrace.

You know what? It matters a lot more who WE are. You know why? Because the man or woman that ends up in the White House is a stark reflection of who we are. They are going to represent to the whole world how we think, and just what message we wanted to present to the world the day we entered our various polling booths.

At least in THIS small community, we all enjoy the blessing of having a few crystal aids as sources of guidance. We owe it to ourselves and our families, our friends, our country AND the rest of the world, to use everything at our disposal to ensure that whatever decision we make on November 4th is one that received the greatest benefit of the wisdom we can touch and use to guide us.

Once we have assembled paper and pen, or microphone for recording our own words, the very first thing we need to do as we seek that wisdom is to:

1) Center.

Sit or lie down somewhere that is free of distraction and interruption and simply come to a stop. Halt all other activity and allow an audience to the "still small voice inside." Prepare to allow our OTHER sources of wisdom to have a nice clean heart and mind to speak to.

2) Focus.

Decide EXACTLY what it is that you want to know. True, it might be that's whatever your particular source wants to tell you. Fine, re-focus on the act of allowing and become the very best listener your source has ever had. If you already have a question in mind though, be very clear about 'framing' it as your target for questioning. Allow your mind to bring it to the front where all your being can be on the lookout for the message you await.

3) Be Quiet.

Don't rush off to FIND the answer, allow it to find you. Wisdom has its own agenda. It chooses ways of communicating with us and unique symbols with which to convey its messages that sometimes bear no resemblance whatsoever to what we THOUGHT we were going to get -- or where the wisdom will come in.

4) Notice.

Instead of looking for a particular thing, be mindful and open to all the things that spring to attention. There are often small images or symbols that actually have much larger meanings.

If you have decided to HOLD a crystal in one or both hands while you are meditating, be aware of whatever exquisite small sensations and variations of warmth (even movement) that might begin to come from the crystal that is sharing your meditation.

Did you think you felt something?
Did you think you heard some small sound or word? (either in your mind or in the room)
Did you feel air currents or temperature fluctuations of some kind?

This is where the preparations you have done as a healer, as a member of the esoteric community of the universe, all come to your aid. If you have gotten into all of this properly, then at some point you took the time to discover what your own personal signals from the Universal Mind are.

We each have special symbols, sounds, sensations, and/or pictures that spring to mind or 'pop' up in our day -- and they can carry special meanings that are just for us. There's a whole language of communication from All That Is, God/Goddess that you need to come to know. I'm hoping you have done that long ago when you began to follow this path...

For instance. Just at this very moment, as I write this. I have SUDDENLY detected an unusually sweet and perfumy aroma. I put my hands to my face and it is as if I dowsed my hands in perfume -- the hands that are typing this -- conveying this message to you -- and the aroma is secondarily familiar. This is my mother's favorite perfume. She comes to me only in very rare instances when an unusual and unimpeachable assurance of truth is warranted. Well, that tells ME I'm on the right track! (lol -- thanks Mom!)

5) Be Grateful !

Whether you get the information you are seeking the first time, or have to try again, be grateful for the opportunity to address your Wisdom Source. Thank your crystals for being with you and for sharing your meditation. Assure them that you are anxious to be with them again and that you are hopeful for pure and specific contact that will improve each time you share space. Thank your Guiding Spirits and your Guardian Spirits for attending all that you endeavor.

Then when you are completely sure you have missed no one, THANK YOUR HIGHER SELF -- after all, it's driving!

NOW you might want to think again about your journey to the polling place to hire someone for the highest job in the land -- to choose whom you want to have working for you. After all, you are giving them a wonderful place to live while they work... you're putting them in The White House!!

I wish each and every one of you Great Light. Love your selves, love your fellowman, spread that all over this country and our world. It is time that world more accurately reflects what we who are devoted to Universal Light are working so hard for and have dedicated our lifetimes to support.

Hug yourselves for me because if I could reach you, I would do it!!
