The Ides of March

Those of us in Prayer Partners Unite generally believe in rebirth. Be that of reincarnation of the physical embodiement on earth or just the spiritual change within our souls. For rebirth to come there must be death. This too comes in many forms. It can be literally the end of a life or the end of a life as we know it to be.
The Good Gardener knows that the plants within the garden have need of pruning and weeding. This brings new growth to the plant and is healthy for it and the fruit or simply blossom to come. We must be rid of those things that are no longer supported by our body, soul or spirit and replaced with a new life or new way of life as it were.

This time of the year seems to be infused with an almost electric energy of great change. Many of our elderly and weak appear to cross over. I have personally lost 2 from the beginning of February to now. Within the middle of the pain of loss, sorrow and turmoil the light of beginnings glimmers through the darkness. As in the beginning of the world when God created it, from the void and darkness springs forth the tiny new sprouts of future. Future in thoughts, concepts goals. Future in spring time birth of nature with birds busy building their nests; preparations for future generations.

Our government in the United States is meeting to decide whether we are in a recession already or entering one. Many changes are happening around us.

Oil is on the rise and as pushing the domino it affects everything caught in the tide of ripples. We have watched not only gasoline prices sky-rocket, but milk, eggs and very soon bread to become costly. The wheat we once ate is now more profitable to grow for ethanol. Consider a change to rice as our waters increase and fuel burning energy needs decrease. Why should this be so surprising when it makes sense in a spiritual light? If a pagan knows that water and spirit are one, why can not the rest of religious society see the season at hand. Fearing it is lack of faith. Accepting and listening to the soft voice of our God (which ever name we use to find him within and without), for guidance during times of change. Caesar has entered the senate and the wheat is ripe on the harvest. So how are we to view things as a faith filled, confident and spiritual individual?
Psalm 4
1.) Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

2.) O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

3.) But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

4.) Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5.) Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

6.) There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

7.) Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

8.) I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

Out of the ashes within my personal family a new life greeted the light. Elijah James entered the world weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces. Wet and wiggling he struggled during the day of the dark moon to be born on a new day. He has his fathers nose and coloring from the Phillipines, yet born on American soil.

He came into our lives as loved ones departed like a new sprout on the branch of the vine. Out of the dust we are made and into the dust we will return. The winds of March blowing their strong seasonal changes of warm and chilling cold. The beautiful breath of life for the planet which sustains us and constantly connects myself to my Lord. A voice that touches from an unseen face if I but only pause... If I but only pause.
